If you decide to go ahead, who would be the best people are to help you make an adoption plan:  an agency, attorney or facilitator.  And what’s the difference between them anyway?  You worry about how to choose an adoption professional that will be on your side.  Is there really someone who will help you work out an adoption plan that you feel good about? How will you find adoptive parents who are fully screened, so you know your child will grow up safe and sound?

  • We’ll answer your questions about the adoption process so you fully understand how adoption works before you make any decisions.  Questions about the birthfather’s role, what documents must be signed, when your choices are final, the type and amount of contact between you and the adoptive parents, how you will choose from all the couples who would like to become your baby’s adoptive family.
  • We specialize in making every adoption unique.  We’ll help you sort out your options and provide the adoption help you need.
  • We can put you in touch with birthmothers who have already made an adoption plan, who are willing to tell you what adoption was like for them.
  • We can help you find the resources you need to get through the pregnancy.  Services to birth parents are always free of charge, and we can help with pregnancy-related expenses.
  • We'll help you find excellent prospective adoptive parents who want the same kind of adoption you want.  There are many waiting parents who are fully screened, loving and longing to welcome a child into their families.

Adoption Angel is the birth parent support program of Heritage Adoption Services. Heritage is a licensed child-placing agency in the states of Oregon, Washington and Montana. Our main office is in Portland, Oregon, but we’ll go anywhere to see you! Although we’ve just completed our Montana licensing, we’ve been licensed in Oregon for fifteen years and in Washington for seven. We’ve traveled to the far corners of both those states and no doubt will do so again.
