Meet Mike & Christiane!

Our promise to you:
We are so fortunate to live where we do, and to have such security and continuity. Our child will grow up surrounded by family, in a safe and friendly part of the world. We will teach her the values we hold dear: kindness, honesty, respect, generosity, and gratitude. He will travel often, go to whichever college he chooses, and become whoever he wishes to be with our constant support and unconditional love. We offer your baby this life with us.
With all our hearts,
Mike and Christiane

Hello!

We are Mike and Christiane. We can’t begin to imagine what it’s like for you to make an adoption plan for your child, but we are in awe of your courage and strength. We would be overjoyed to offer you a loving, warm, safe home for your baby. We know in our hearts that we are meant to be parents, and we can’t wait to get started! We think adoption is a wonderful way to become a family, especially as Mike is adopted.

Married for eleven years now, we are each other’s best friend. We live on a ranch in Montana, it’s Mike’s family’s business. We raise cattle; run a fly fishing lodge and dude ranch, and a hunting lodge in the fall. We love to travel, try new restaurants, and go to concerts and movies. We also like to curl up on the couch with popcorn and a DVD.
We entertain friends and family often at our house. We attend church regularly, and are proud to be godparents of several nieces, nephews, and friends’ children. We are in excellent health and spend as much time as possible outdoors, enjoying the beautiful corner of the world in which we are blessed to live.

Please look below for more pictures and to get to know our family!

About Christiane:

I grew up in California, but Montana feels like home. I went to culinary school and I can’t wait to teach my child to enjoy all different types of food! I love to read and have an entire library of children’s books all set to be read aloud at bedtime. I love to take horseback rides with Mike, and to take hikes with Bodhi, our dog. I work part time in a small shop in town, but when our baby arrives I will be a full time stay-at-home mom: my dream job.
I’m the oldest of three kids, with a sister and a brother. My sister adopted a little boy from Ethiopia two years ago and they live in Arizona. My brother lives in Minnesota with his wife, he’s an artist. My mom and step-dad live in California and Mike and I visit as much as possible.
We are both very close to our families and spend as much time as we can with them. They are the center of our life.

About Mike:

I was adopted as an infant and I have always been, and always will be, grateful to my birth mother for choosing adoption because she knew it would be the best thing for me. Because of that, adoption has always been a path that I knew I would take to build my family. I spend most of my time on horseback, working the cattle and overseeing the ranch. In the fall, I manage the hunting lodge. I’m not a desk job kind of guy; I like to be out in the fresh air and sunshine, to be my own boss.
I have a son named Hayden who lives in Michigan and I visit him on a regular basis. I have two older sisters and all of us were adopted. One of my sisters runs the fly fishing lodge here at the ranch. My other sister is a registered nurse and lives in Arizona. Each of my sisters has two kids; they keep us busy! My mom lives in Florida, and once a year we all take a family trip with her. My dad and step-mom live part of the year in Arizona and part of the year in Montana at the ranch, so we see a lot of them.

Where we live:
The ranch is home, we have to no plans to ever leave. Our house is warm and cozy and comfortable. We are very close with our neighbors; we have big family picnics and cookouts. Lots of children live on our road, and they all ride the bus to school together and know each from kindergarten on. The area we live in is so beautiful that it attracts excellent teachers to our local school: it’s one of the best in the state. Mike and his sister will run the family business until they are ready to pass it on to the next generation.
